Transport Project Manager

Managed the Tellabs and ALU SIAD equipment installation to support 3G, 4G, 5G and UMTS over Ethernet growth in the Las Vegas market to include over 300 cell sites. Managed the transport end of new cell site builds, Ethernet, microwave and special events to support the Las Vegas market. Attended Ethernet, DS3 & T1 internal and external conference calls supporting transport. Ordered various equipment to support IUB growth for regular transport and Ethernet/LTE project. Costs associated to include fiber, lease agreements, cabinets, power, rack space and equipment. Worked with outside vendors to complete construction for new cell site builds, mods and microwave projects supporting transport. This includes Black and Veatch technical and physical builds as well as ALU equipment installation and migration/integration. Managed and dispatched local field techs for L2 testing and various other market functions to include physical builds, integration of T1s, Ethernet and LTE migrations as well as associated cleanup work of prior dated technology. Managed CTS ticketing system for all transport extensions, testing and all necessary site work. Reviewed OOMs for new or existing cell site work as well as internal financial reports for equipment and vendor costs to include justification for high cost sites and options. Created and reported various documentation regarding current project initiatives and updates with upper management, RF/switch, and ALU.Managed CNR ticket issues for LEC transport delivery. Managed the LEC/CenturyLink Ethernet build out as well as subsequent RAD replacement project which consisted of over 330 night time site swap outs of LEC equipment that supports Ethernet/LTE.

Coordinated the build out of AT&T Wireless third generation network in Washington, New Mexico, Idaho, Nebraska, and Minnesota to activate over 400 cell sites for implementation of the new 3G network.Managed the Eastlake switch decommission, processing disconnect orders of T-1s, T-3s, and OC level circuits ultimately saving AT&T Wireless over 1 million dollars annually.Provisioned all T1’s to individual cell sites as well as the interconnect trunking side (911, Ancillary, SS7, and 8YY) orders, integrating the AT&T Wireless Network into the (ILECs) independent local exchange carriers.Managed project from inception to completion, all order aspects of the network to include:Created and tracked (ASRs) access service request, (FOCs) firm order confirmation, and (DLRs) directory layout record to various (LECs) local exchange carriers, (CLECs) competitive local exchange carrier, and long distance companies.Escalated past due issues to ensure priority of the ordering process with the carrier.Provided ongoing feedback to engineers as well as created weekly Excel spreadsheet status reports for management.Ordered CILLI codes for new cellular switches or equipment via CLDS on line ordering system.

Coordinated the layer one fiber testing between the installation engineer, various ISP, and loop provider for PNAPs while working directly with internal departments such as Customer Sales, Accounting, and Capacity Planning, during the installation period, to ensure all commitments are achieved.Project manager for ordering and installation of new PNAPs for both the serial IP port and dedicated OC3, DS3, or DS1 loop via the various ISP’s and loop providers for the top 20 United States markets.
